We have an AMAZING FALL at HHICC! Don't miss out on ANY of these things!

1. VIBE KICK-OFF UPDATE! We had a great kick -off with VIBE on Sunday night with 30 plus middle and high school students! If you would like to volunteer to help with set-up or clean-up, we need some parents or adults to assist with that each week. If you can help once or twice a month, that would be great! Contact Pastor Rob Minton at 706.755.6659 or at rminton@hiltonheadislandcc.org. Vibe meets every Sunday night from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.

2. IT'S TIME TO CLEAN OUT THOSE CLOSETS!

Clothing Connection- Saturday, October 22- 9 am-12 pm. We are NOW collecting your gently used men, women, and children's clothing ( no toys, please.) You can drop off your clothes on Sundays and during office hours Monday - Thursdays. To volunteer to sort clothes over the next few weeks, please contact Diane Guenther at 843.681.3399 or at dguenther@hiltonheadislandcc.org. 

3. THE CORE -  THIS Sunday, September 25 - 12:15 pm - 2:45 pm - Lunch and childcare will be provided!  This class will give you an overview of HHICC and you will have the opportunity to become a member at the end of this class. To register, contact Cynthia Cullen or call our church office at 843.681.3399.

4. Silver Ring Thing - Tuesday, September 27 - 7  - 9 pm - HHI High School - Silver Ring Thing will give honest answers to real questions about life, love and sex for teens through a live concert-style event of comedy, drama, music, video, and testimonies. Don't miss this opportunity for teens to learn about life and relationships from a Godly perspective. 5. OPEN HOUSE - Sunday, October 16 -  6pm - 8pm

Are you new to the Island? Are you new to HHICC? If you answered YES to any or both of these questions, OPEN HOUSE is for you! This is an informal time with coffee and desserts for you to meet Pastor Todd and other leaders at HHICC and ask questions in a casual environment. We host Open Houses in homes on the Island. 6. FALL LIFE GROUP CONNECT - Sunday, October 23 - 12:15-1:30 pm

Are you ready to get connected? Are you ready to join other Islanders for a committed time of Bible study, prayer, and community? Join us for our FALL LIFE GROUP CONNECT! Lunch and childcare will be provided. To register, contact Joe and Shirley Newton or sign up on Sundays after services in our lobby. We are currently looking for new leaders to faciliate our new Fall Groups. If you are interested in leading or hosting a life group, contact Joe and Shirley Newton, our Life Group Coordinators, at jnewton@hiltonheadislandcc.org.

• If you are a regular attender of HHICC, we ask that you attend the 9:30 service this week. We want to make sure there is room for first-time attenders on this special day!

Welcome Rob and Tara Minton - we introduced Rob and Tara Minton yesterday in our services as new staff at HHICC! Rob is our Family Pastor and will oversee VIBE and work alongside Diane with children as Pastor to families. We are so excited to have the Mintons a part of the team! Rob and Tara have three childrenn - Bryce, Eli, and Elizabeth.

Please PRAY at 4 pm this Wednesday, August 24! We have a very important meeting with Hargray about our future facility. Pray for all parties to be able to move the ball forward on this exciting step for HHICC!

SHINE...a Gathering for Island Women - Join us THIS SATURDAY, August 20 from 11 am  - 1 pm. This is a great opportunity for you to meet and connect with other Island Women. Bring a friend as well! We will enjoy great food, music, and a wonderful panel discussion from some of our Island Women on life, love and issues that effect women. See you there!

4th Anniversary Celebration - Sunday, September 11 - Join us for this special day as we "officially" become Hilton Head Island Community Church. Food and a jumpy house for kids will be available from 12:00 - 1:30 pm. We will also have Beach Baptism at 5 pm at Chaplin Park. See you there!

Q: When does the Island Campus of LCC "officially" become Hilton Head Island Community Church? 

A: Sunday, September 11, 2011 on our 4 year anniversary.

Q: If I give online or use online banking, when do I need to begin to give to Hilton Head Island Community Church?

A: Beginning Sunday, September 11 and after. We will have online giving set-up on our new website at www.hiltonheadislandcc.org beginning that Sunday.

Q: If I am a member of LCC, does my membership and any classes that I have taken (i.e - Do the Five) transfer to HHICC?

A: Yes. We will automatically transfer all membership and class attendance records from LCC to HHICC.

Q: How will we do membership and "Do the Five" at HHICC in the future?

A: We will be offering a one, two-hour class called "The Core" which will include membership and the key essentials of "Do the Five." It will be an interactive class that will give you the opportunity to get involved at HHICC as well as discover the spiritual values of grow, reach, serve, and worship at HHICC. This will be offered immediately following our 11:o0 service and will include lunch and childcare. We will be offering  "The Core" this fall on Sunday, September 25 and Sunday, November 6 from 12:30 - 3:00 pm.

Q: If I have already taken the membership class at LCC or have taken some of the "Do the Five" classes, can I continue to take these classes at LCC?

A: YES! If you are already in the process of "Do the Five," we encourage you to take GROW, SERVE, REACH, and WORSHIP at LCC. There are two more offerings this fall - Sunday, September 25 and November 6. You can register online at www.lowcountrycc.org.

Q: If I have never attended a membership class or any of the "Do the Five" classes, but would like to begin, where do I start?

A: You would attend "The Core"  that is offered at HHICC on Sunday, September 25 or Sunday, November 6.

Q: How will this transition be communicated to our Bluffton and Island Community?

A: We are preparing joint newspaper ads for the month of September and will release a press statement on our 4 year anniversary to the Island Packet. The LCC website will reflect the Island Campus transition to Hilton Head Island Community Church through Sunday, October 2. We have already set-up a facebook page (www.facebook.com/hiltonheadislandcc) and twitter account (www.twitter.com/hhichurch) to begin to communicate the transition.
