Dear HHI campus friends,
As we head into our Miracle Offering this Sunday, believing God for $110,000 in cash, I want you to know that although I will be at the Bluffton Campus, you will very much be in my thoughts and prayers (you always are!).
I’d appreciate you taking a minute or two to read my following thoughts to you…
The Time is Now
The total price tag of this project seems overwhelming. Ministering to an increasingly growing church campus family can be costly. But LowCountry has always believed in achieving the impossible for God’s glory by faith in Him! He has provided thus far at each step along the way. We will continue to take this one day at a time, trusting God as we move forward. Any further delay will only create a greater need and more finances will be siphoned off for rent. We should not wait any longer. We’re so close! The need is real and the time is now!
It Will Take All of Us Sacrificing Together
During 2004’s Time to Build campaign in Bluffton, 125 people or families participated. Our church family gave - in cash and pledges - $3,160,569. Our children gave over $1,100 in coins! (And they were well-traveled kids: we received coins from Canada, Mexico and Great Britain ... we even received a Mickey Mouse dollar!). And now here we go again! It’s time for all of us at the HHI campus to come together. The cost of this facility is too much for a few individuals to carry. We must each give our share and do our part. Your church needs your commitment now, like never before.
What is My Part?
Simply this: equal sacrifice, not equal gifts.” To “sacrifice” means to willingly give the best I have for a greater purpose. While we all cannot give the same amount, we can all sacrifice somehow. This way everyone can have a part. For some a “sacrificial” gift may be $500. For others a “sacrifice” may be closer to $50,000. God will impress a specific amount upon your heart if you sincerely ask Him to speak to you.
Giving By Faith is Giving That Pleases God
Giving by faith happens when you decide to give an amount that will require God’s help to fulfill. Then, instead of worrying, “How can we afford to do this?” we begin to think, “We can’t wait to see how God miraculously provides what we’ve committed to give in faith!” He has provided in the past, and we confidently expect Him to do it again.
This is Your Opportunity
…to do something significant that will outlast your life.
…to make a permanent difference with your money.
…to leave a legacy for our children, grand-children and future generations.
The Hargray/LCC facility is not a monument, but an instrument for “serving God’s purpose in our generation” (Acts 13:36). Again, buildings don’t change lives, but what goes on inside them does! When we invest in God’s work, we are investing for eternity. It deserves our best.
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matt. 19:26).
Hopefully,
Pastor Jeff
